Danish Bakery American Style Hot Dogs

Danish Bakery, the leading manufacturer of sausage rolls and the official Baked Goods Partner of The European Coffee Symposium, has taken their range to the next level with the introduction of the new American Style Hot Dog.

This convenient, easy-to-handle food item is the perfect addition to their range of quality baked goods. Made with their famous soft dough that’s been combined with sourdough, the hot dog concept is similar to a sausage roll in that the pastry fully contains the meat (or vegetarian meat) inside, but once it’s cut open, the product can be transformed into a variety of styles depending on what toppings are used.

Taking inspiration from the different types of hot dogs that have become well known in American culture, Danish Bakery suggests four different combinations of toppings. Discover the four different styles, New York, Chicago, Chili Dog and No Dog (which is vegan and vegetarian friendly), below.

The New York Style Hot Dog

Inspired by the famous hot dog carts in New York City, this hot dog is traditionally topped with spicy brown mustard, ketchup and sauerkraut or sautéed onions.

The Chicago Style Hot Dog

Complete with tomatoes, pickles, peppers, onions and green relish, the Chicago Style hot dog is one of the most unique and well-known of them all.

The Chili Style Hot Dog

The Chili Dog can have lots of variations, but it’s traditionally topped with a spicy meat sauce, chopped onions and grated cheddar making it the ultimate comfort food.

The No Dog Style

This vegetarian and vegan-friendly variation tastes delicious when topped with a sweet mango chutney and root vegetable crisps.
